Laboratory Products Association nominates Ryan Titmas to Board of Directors

Middleton, WI (November30, 2018) Gilson announced today that Ryan Titmas, Vice President of Sales for the Americas, has started a three-year tenure on the Board of Directors for the Lab Product Association (LPA). Titmas brings nearly 20 years of experience in sales management and distribution relationship management experience in laboratory equipment and the life science consumables marketplace. The LPA nomination committee recommended Titmas for the Board position, and the final vote on his nomination took place in November.

“It’s a great privilege to have received this appointment and to represent Gilson in the LPA,” Titmas said. “Our partnership with the LPA coupled with our presence on the Board of Directors will increase Gilson’s awareness among industry peers and provide us with additional exposure to a variety of markets. Being a part of this network will help Gilson to identify new product trends and opportunities to serve our customers better,” Titmas added.

The LPA, currently celebrating its 100th anniversary, consists of over 200-member companies representing manufacturers and distributors of lab products across a broad spectrum of industries. The LPA strives to improve the success of its members through opportunities in market research, education, networking, and government trends. Gilson’s participation in the LPA will further reinforce a strong presence in the lab products markets and strengthen relationships with the lab research community.

Before his Board appointment, Titmas had served on LPA committees that focused on gathering and analyzing market information. In addition to the LPA’s current goals, Titmas would like to explore opportunities for more sales and account management education for members.
