Middleton, WI – March 31, 2023 – Gilson is proud to announce two manufacturing sites in France have received EcoVadis medals for their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices. Gilson Plastics, in Moirans-en-Montagne, has been awarded the Silver medal, and Gilson MLH, in Villiers-le-bel, received the bronze medal.
Sustainability has been integral to Gilson’s objectives for the past 75 years. The company’s conscientious product design and manufacturing is part of its commitment to evaluating and improving its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) process. The EcoVadis medals are a significant accomplishment for Gilson.
EcoVadis is an independent company that evaluates sustainability practices in four areas: environmental compliance, social compliance, business ethics, and responsible procurement. Gilson’s most recent initiative on sustainability targeted producing plastics in a better, greener way. The plastic Center of Excellence is ISO 14001 accredited, meeting the highest standards in the enhancement of environmental performance, compliance obligations, and achievement of environmental objectives. This initiative led to Gilson Plastics’ scorecard being above the average rating of all companies rated by EcoVadis in the plastic product manufacturing industry.
